Jobs Description of Content & Editorial Manager - Content & Editorial Manager As the Content & Editorial Manager you refine and advance our content generation and editorial priorities, helping to plan, produce and analyse the written content the company creates. Working with the CCSR Directorate and as part of a small team, you will identify, develop, write and produce stories, infographics and other content for use in print and digital formats that tell the corporate story in a compelling, shareable way.

Content & Editorial Manager role requires not only a savvy wordsmith but also someone with strong project management skills, an eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Accountabilities
  • Contribute to the execution of the Corporate Communications & Sustainability Relations Strategy
  • Build the editorial calendar and contribute to written guidelines.
  • Determine sources for content creation, both internally and externally.
  • Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with the company’s tone and mission. You write clean, concise, well-polished copy.
  • Edit content produced by contributors – internal or external – prior to publication.
  • Conceptualising editorial projects and securing agreement and budget for their development – for example long-form content projects such as e-books.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build a more effective editorial calendar.
  • Cover and report on events across the company’s operations in Indonesia for in-house and external publication.
  • Produce content for company social media channels including LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Work with designers to produce content such as infographics and other company material (brochures, leaflets etc)
  • Optimise content forsearch engines and lead generation
  • Conduct analytical projects to improve blog strategies/tactics, growing blog subscribers and expanding the overall blog’s reach
  • Create 1-2 free resources each month to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Manage the Content Writer
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or the VP, CCSR.

  • Be receptive to developmental feedback and strive to eliminate discrepancies between required competencies and current abilities

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent command of English
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word & Powerpoint)
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN etc.)
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business’ various types of content
  • Excellent team work and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing/reporting skills
  • Self-starter, highly-organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and able to produce content to suit different business needs
  • A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business’ mission is desirable
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
